For everyone who knew Curt, they knew his photos.  In 1986, he discovered photography when he took a class in Savannah.  There he met Eric Hartley, and the two became fast friends.  Almost any weekend that was overcast, the two of them would be exploring the barrier islands off the coast of Georgia.  Curt turned the utility room in the house into a darkroom where he would stay for hours developing his photos.  He spent 25 years or so photographing these islands.  The last decade took Curt all over the world studying photography with a National Geographic photographer.  Iceland was by far his favorite place. Curt was happiest behind the camera.
